As I reflect over the past 10 years of the creation of Sanara and the community that has been built, I am extremely tender-hearted. It took me three years to land on the name Sanara (which means to heal in Spanish). I believe that this name was divinely given, and I have been blessed to be a part of the building up of such an exceptional and sacred space.
We all encounter difficult things in our lives, but it is what we choose to do with those things that matter. Our mission here at Sanara has been to encourage, hold, listen, love, and serve everyone who walks through the door and for them to know that they are not alone. I could not have done this on my own. I know without a shadow of a doubt that God’s hand has been a part of this from the beginning and He will continue to provide His light and love through Jason, Rachel, and our teachers as they carry forward the building up of this sanctuary of peace and purpose.Â
The inspired Spanish name Sanara is very appropriate. I have recently been called to serve a mission as a therapist in Mexico City to work with missionaries in the field for the next 18 months. I will be helping them with anxiety, depression, and other mental health troubles. I will continue to look toward Him in all that I do as He brings hearts forward that need healing and hope. Even though leaving Sanara will be hard for me, I know that it is in the best hands possible. I know that Sanara will thrive with the foundation we have built along with the focus of love and vision Jason and Rachel have planned. They are the future of Sanara and it is going to be so good.Â
Thank you for all of your support over the years. Sanara has been my family through many of my own difficult experiences. Every time I walk through the front door… my heart is at peace and I know that everything is going to be ok. I hope that our space does the same thing for you too. You are seen. You are known, and you are SO VERY LOVED.
Please welcome my dear friends and our new Sanara mom and dad… Jason and Rachel. I can’t wait for you to meet them. Their hearts are pure love and they are looking forward to wrapping you up in their arms and to helping continue the beautiful place we have created together.Â
So much love,
AllisonÂ
A Note From Jason and Rachel
It feels so fitting and timely to add both Allison and Sanara to our list of blessings this holiday season. We already feel ridiculously humbled and blessed to be surrounded by so many amazing and supportive members of this community as we step into this transition. We absolutely intend to preserve the special, unique and unparalleled foundation that was laid before us and we vow to continue to make you feel safe and proud as a member of the Sanara community.
Thank you in advance for your patience with us as we navigate this new terrain and work to align the mission and people of Sanara with our own hopes and dreams for this space. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at any time with your feedback, questions or concerns. Our studio and our hearts are always open to hearing from you.
You will learn more about our stories, our lives and our purpose in the months to come, but for now we just want to thank you for continuing to entrust Sanara with your own personal journey towards wellness and healing. May everything you set your hands to in this coming season be a constant reminder of how worthy you are to be well.
Jason & Rachel
